By the sea on the Durham coast, you’ll find Deliciaedax - our little world filled with longhaired Miniature Dachshunds.

The name Deliciaedax comes from the Latin word Deliciae, meaning “my beloved, my delight, my cherished treasure.” And that is exactly what our dachshunds are to us: precious souls who bring laughter, warmth, and light into every corner of our lives.

We are proud to be a show kennel, passionate exhibitors, and devoted breeders of these enchanting little dogs. Showing allows us to celebrate the beauty, structure, and spirit of the dachshund, while breeding gives us the privilege of nurturing the next generation always with the breed’s future at heart.

Our focus is simple but unwavering: health, type, temperament, and purpose. We do not breed for colour trends or dilutes; instead, we aim to honour the breed standard, working only with carefully chosen international lines that add strength, diversity, and depth to our programme. Every pairing is thoughtful, every puppy intentional.​​

But beyond the ribbons, pedigrees, and plans, our dachshunds are our family. They share our home, our sofas, and our lives. Each puppy is raised underfoot, showered in love and socialisation, so that when they leave us, they do so ready to bring joy to their new families.

Every puppy leaves Deliciaedax with a complete puppy pack, first vaccinations, microchip, Kennel Club registration, and most importantly, a heart full of love. They carry with them not just our name, but a piece of our story, and the promise of a life filled with wagging tails and cherished moments.
