Beautiful and Beloved

Minnie

Minnie is our foundation bitch and the dog from which Deliciaedax began.

A beautiful shaded red longhaired Miniature Dachshund, Minnie combines many of the qualities I value most within the breed. She has a lovely, balanced temperament and is confident, intelligent and incredibly affectionate. She is very people-focused and happiest when she is involved in whatever is going on around her.

Minnie has always had a particularly steady nature. She is easy to live with, adaptable and quietly confident, with just enough typical Dachshund mischief to keep things interesting.

She has also been an exceptional mother. Minnie is calm and instinctive with her puppies, and one of the things I have valued most has been seeing so much of her temperament carried through into the generations that have followed her.

As our foundation bitch, Minnie’s influence can be seen throughout Deliciaedax. She is the mother of Pickle, Lolly, Fig, Cherry and Oakley, and grandmother to Reign, with several of her descendants retained as part of our breeding programme.

Now retired from breeding following her final litter, Minnie’s legacy continues through the generations that have followed her. She has given me a strong foundation on which to develop Deliciaedax, while remaining, first and foremost, our much-loved Minnie Moo.

Lolly

Lolly is one of our home-bred girls and undoubtedly one of the biggest personalities in the house.

A daughter of Minnie and sister to Pickle, Fig, Cherry & Oakley, she is confident, affectionate and incredibly playful, with a wonderfully fun nature. Lolly has always been something of a clown and has a natural talent for making us laugh, usually without even trying.

She loves attention, wants to be involved in everything and approaches most of life as though it has been arranged entirely for her entertainment. She is lively, curious and occasionally a little chaotic, but also incredibly loving and devoted to her family.

Lolly is the mother of Reign and an important part of the next generation of Deliciaedax. As one of our home-bred girls, she represents the continuation of the line that began with Minnie and carries many of the qualities we value from that foundation.

She is completely unmistakable: happy, affectionate, full of character and very much Lolly.

Fig is Cherry’s sister and our cheekier little character of the two.

Outgoing, confident and full of personality, she has been curious about everything from the beginning and certainly isn’t afraid to make herself known.

She is still only a baby, so there is plenty of growing and changing ahead, but we are really enjoying watching her personality emerge and seeing the little girl she is becoming.

Whatever her future holds, we are very excited to see what becomes of our cheeky little Fig.

Love

Love is one of the gentlest and most affectionate girls within our Deliciaedax family.

She has an exceptionally soft, sweet temperament and forms very strong bonds with the people she knows. With her family she is incredibly affectionate, happiest tucked beside you or quietly following you around the house. She loves closeness and is a very loyal little dog.

With new people, Love is naturally more reserved. She prefers to observe and get to know someone in her own time rather than immediately seeking interaction. Once she knows and trusts you, however, her wonderfully affectionate nature comes through.

At home she is calm, easy to live with and has a particularly gentle presence. She isn't a dog who needs to be at the centre of everything, but she is rarely far away from the people she loves.

Love has also been a wonderful mother. She is attentive, patient and naturally nurturing with her puppies, giving them a calm and settled start to life. Her gentle nature is one of the qualities I value most in her and something I have been pleased to see reflected in her offspring.

She is the mother of Ozzy and Bug, both of whom have been retained within Deliciaedax, allowing Love's influence to continue within our breeding programme.

For all her qualities as a breeding bitch, what makes Love particularly special to us is simply who she is. She is deeply devoted to her family, quietly affectionate and a very treasured part of ours.

Cherry

Cherry is our beautiful shaded red girl, retained from Minnie’s final litter.

Still only a baby, we are very much getting to know her, but so far she is an incredibly sweet and affectionate little girl with a lovely gentle nature.

There is lots of growing up still to do, and for now we are simply enjoying watching her develop, letting her be a puppy and seeing what the future brings.

Whatever the future holds, Cherry is already a very loved little member of Deliciaedax.
