Welcome to Deliciaedax, a small kennel dedicated to longhaired Miniature Dachshunds.

Based on the Durham coast, our dogs are very much part of our family, while showing and responsible breeding allow us to pursue a much deeper passion for the breed.

​

Deliciaedax was established from a love of the Miniature Dachshund and a desire to breed with purpose. Our focus is healthy, confident dogs with beautiful breed type, sound construction and the unmistakable character that makes Dachshunds so special.

We show our dogs and breed only occasionally, with each generation carefully planned around the strengths of the dogs already within our line and what we hope to preserve or improve. Pedigree, health, temperament, structure and genetic diversity all influence our decisions, with selected UK and international bloodlines forming our programme.

We have no interest in breeding for fashion. Our preference is for traditional, breed-standard colours and for preserving the qualities of the longhaired Miniature Dachshund rather than following changing trends or making breeding choices that harm the breed.

Most importantly, our dogs have a happy life beyond pedigrees, breeding plans and the show ring. They live alongside us in our home, are our family first and foremost, with puppies raised in exactly the same way.

We want every Deliciaedax puppy to have an exceptional beginning, but what matters just as much is where they go next. Our puppies are carefully matched with their new families and remain part of the wider Deliciaedax family long after they leave us.
