Welcome to Deliciaedax. We are a small, family-run kennel dedicated to the miniature longhaired dachshund, based on the Durham coast in the north east of england.

Our dogs are first and foremost much loved and adored members of our family. They share our home and everyday lives, and our involvement in showing and breeding has grown naturally from our love for the breed.

 

Deliciaedax began with our wonderful girl Minnie, and over the years we've developed a real passion for understanding the breed, its history and the importance of preserving the qualities that make these little dogs so special.

We breed only occasionally, with every litter carefully planned. Health, temperament, pedigree, genetics and conformation all play an important part in our decisions. We believe responsible breeding is about looking beyond the individual dog and considering what each generation contributes to the future of the breed.

We're particularly passionate about preservation breeding and have no interest in following trends or breeding for fashionable colours. Our focus is on traditional, breed-standard colours and producing healthy, confident dachshunds with sound construction, lovely temperaments and correct breed type.

 

Above all, we want our puppies to grow into happy, much loved family companions. They're born and raised in our home, with a great deal of time and care going into their early development and we take just as much care in finding the right families for them.
